Richard Smedley is a retired software engineer and the holder of several software patents. He is the coauthor of a best-selling college textbook and holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science. More recently he earned a second degree in biology graduating Summa Cum Laude from NSU in 2016. Since then he has presented his animal language research at the Oklahoma Academy of Sciences and the 4th International Conference on Audible Communication in Animals. He is an expert on video film-making producing several feature length films and documentaries. Richard is a life-long amateur astronomer and in 2007 was the first person in history to film the gigantic jet phenomenon over the continental United States. Richard possesses an intense interest in “reality-challenging” phenomena both para-natural and natural and the use of scientific methods to analyze them.
